New Pond Farm Summer Camp 2008 -
Registration begins March 1st!

We are gearing up for our fourth summer of camp in our new Indoor Learning
Center! Our
program is small and personal, consisting of three sessions of residential camp
for inner city children from Norwalk, Bridgeport and Danbury and area day
campers.
During their ten-day stay, the
residential campers will learn to milk a cow, create feasts from our vegetable garden,
swim in our pool, go hiking and camping, create beautiful works of art, gaze
through the telescopes at the night sky, sing songs, play games, meet new
friends, enjoy being celebrated as individuals, and have an amazing time, just
being carefree children.
For five days of each session, four girls and four boys from the area
are invited to attend as day campers. In
this personal atmosphere, with an emphasis on fun, these children from different
socio-economic backgrounds come together, develop understandings and
friendships.
If you have an 8-12 year old who
would enjoy making new friends from different backgrounds and becoming part of
the farm family, then New Pond Farm Summer Camp is the right place.
Camp is open to Family Members of New Pond Farm.
Session dates for
summer 2008:
Session I: July 14th
– 18th
Session II: July
28th – August 1st
Session III:
August 11th – 15th
Hours: 9:00 - 4:30 PM
Fee: $550 per session. Includes snack, lunch and a New Pond Farm t-shirt.
Please
help us to provide more positive experiences for children. Each year we need to
raise $40,000 to cover the three 10-day session of camp for youngsters from
Norwalk, Bridgeport and Danbury. If you would like to sponsor a child, or if you
think your business might be willing to underwrite the stay of one or more
campers please call Ann Taylor at 938-2117. We estimate the cost of an
individual campership to be $1,600 - but donations of any size will be
gratefully received!
