Camp Counselors

Applications for 2019 will be accepted soon.

New Pond Farm offers a residential summer camp for inner-city youth from Connecticut and day camp for local children. The camp works with children 8-12 years old, and consists of three 10-day sessions, totaling eight weeks of employment. Established in 1975, our small and personal summer camp has given hundreds of urban children a taste of life in the country and a chance to live, learn, work, and play on the farm for 10 days along side children from towns in the immediate area. Our camp is small and personal (8 inner-city youth and 8 area children per session), allowing our summer staff to have a positive impact on the campers.

As a summer counselor you will be living and working on a beautiful farm. Facilities include an air-conditioned bunkhouse on the second floor of our Learning Center (with accommodations for both campers and counselors), a full kitchen, bathrooms with showers, laundry facilities, a classroom, and variety of outdoor teaching stations. Daily activities include science lessons, hiking, gardening, swimming, arts & crafts, games, and more!

The camp will be divided into three 10-day sessions, at the end of sessions 1 & session 2 there will be two days off for all counselors.
