“Peent, peent”, the nasally call of the American Woodcock is hard to mistake.
Join NPF Board Member Bruce Ward as we look and listen for this sometimes difficult to spot little shorebird. With a preference for young forests and shrubby fields, males will be out calling and performing aerial displays in an effort to attract a mate for the spring breeding season.
