“Peent, peent”, the nasally call of the American Woodcock, also known as a Timberdoodle, is hard to mistake. Join NPF Board Member Bruce Ward as we look and listen for this sometimes difficult to spot little shorebird. With a preference for young forests and shrubby fields, males will be out calling and performing aerial displays in an effort to attract a mate for the spring breeding season.
