Pueblan Milksnake
These beautiful Non-poisonous snakes are often mistaken for the poisonous Coral Snake. Their patterning is reversed, just remember "Red touches yellow, kill a fellow, red touches black. okay Jack" to tell the difference.
At home in arid portions of Portions of Puebla, Morelos and Oaxaca, Mexico and found at elevations exceeding 5,500 feet.
Known to live 10 to 20 years in captivity and reach 30 – 36 inches (up to 3 feet) in length
In the wild they are ground dwellers and typically like to burrow and are active primarily during the night or twilight hours feeding on small lizards, small snakes, nestling birds, with most of their diet being rodents
